1. Does your site enough authoritative, relevant & keyword rich content? SEO takes great content in order to work.
Since Google is the godfather of search engines all SEO has be done to their standards. Google likes to rank sites based upon the relevance of the site in general and content is the largest part of that. They are looking to see 1000-1500 words of unique content just on the home page and then another 500 on the following pages. Remember to make sure that you using the proper keywords throughout your content and making sure it has a natural flow so Google won't see it as spam. Just write as though you are having a natural conversation with someone. Google is just looking for sites that can provide consumers with with the most relevant information possible.
2. Make sure that all of your sites images have the proper alt tags or names. Meaning, naming what each picture is about. Google can't see the pictures but if you give them a name then it will know what is in the picture and thus give it more relevance to your site or topic.
3. Mobile responsive! Can your site be viewed on a mobile device or tablet? If not Google may push your site down in the rankings. It has been said that about 60% of all searches are now being done on a mobile device and that number will continue to climb. So having the consumer in mind your site needs to be viewable on a mobile device. If you aren't sure then you can use this checker to find out.
4. GMB or Google My Business. Has your site been verified by Google? If you want Google to see your site and business legit then you need to have this done. There are many elements to this so doing everything possible on this is a must. It includes adding your address, phone number, website address uploading images and more. 5.Finally, make sure that your clients or customers are giving you reviews. Add a link to your Google review page to make it easy for them to do this. Google likes to see that you have good customer interaction and by having them leave reviews for you then you are helping your cause and also make sure that you are responding to these reviews as well. This allows potential customers that are shopping your services to see that you are concerned about you customers and that you have best interest at heart.
